NO RISE TOO HIGH

Hi guys, happy Tuesday! I have the busiest week ahead and the weather hasn’t been helping with my motivation. For those of you not in SoCal, we tend to get a bit of “May grey” around this time every year. Most people assume its always sunny here (and for the most part it is), but we do get super cloudy mornings that sometimes don’t burn off till late afternoon. On these days, I am all about throwing on some denim. My favorite denim trend right now is definitely high waisted, lighter washed and bit distressed.

One of my favorite go-to brands for all things right on trend is Lovers & Friends. If you are a reader of my blog, you already know this, as I am forever posting about them. From cute dresses to matching sets to all things denim. These jeans I am wearing in today’s post are from their Spring collection and I cannot stop wearing them! They are perfectly skinny and high waisted.

I paired them with this fun off the shoulder top from Lisakai (its apparently sold out so similar here and here). I just adore the fun orange color and floral detailing. I have to admit, I am started to tire of the whole off the shoulder look, but there are too many fun versions out to give it up quite yet. And I feel like it’s a great style to pair with denim as a way to Spring/Summer up your look.

For shoes, I went with the most simple, but fabulous “nudist” style heel from Stuart Weitzman. These are braided silver AND gold metallic, which I just love love. They literally go with everything! The most perfect neutral.

I grabbed my end all be all forever bag from Chanel to add a bit more Spring to the heavy denim. This bag is one of my everythings. The color is just so lush, but so neutral. I couldn’t not top this look off with these tortoise sunnies from Crap eyewhere (only $58!) as the cream matched my bag too perfectly. So fun, right?
