Happy Friday, fashion friends! We made it! I could not be more excited because this weekend my hubs and I are venturing over to Vegas! It’s one of our favorite little getaways (only a 45 minute flight from us) as we adore the Wynn Hotel and all the fun restaurants. I also love love that everyone there is always dressed up and ready to have fun! It’s kind of totally fitting that I am doing this outfit post today as we are off to one of America’s wildest spots.

We all know I love prints and color, so when I found this fun Mara Hoffman dress I couldn’t not have it. I love the Hawaiian feel and the super fun cut out style. I felt like my Gucci gold sky high slides just were meant for this dress as the rich tone just matched perfectly. I am obsessed with these shoes by the way. It just doesn’t get more fun!
Instead of following my typical rule of keeping accessories neutral when you are wearing a loud piece, I went big and paired this look with my Celine snakeskin bright orange box bag. You guys, this bag!! It’s one of those pieces that is just forever rad. I say that with confidence because I can totally see myself as an older lady in my all white get up using this bright little piece of happiness!

I added on a super skinny gold belt, just to give the look a more finished look (as I always do). This belt is super old, but here is a super similar option. For sunnies, I grabbed these from Le Spec. These are from their collaboration with the Self Portrait (a line you know I love love love). I just adore that they are so neutral, but also so fun with the gold mirrored lens. My House of Harlow gold cuff was the perfect way to finish off this already super untamed look!

As Summer is quickly approaching, I am all about embracing all the colors and all the prints! Why not, you know? Fashion is all about having fun, so why wear neutrals all the time? Clearly I do not, but I think most people do and I wish they wouldn’t. Atleast be bold in your bag choice, like I was with this fab fab Celine!

Here are some more super fun colorful pieces to get you through this Friday!

1. Show Me Your Mumu 2. Mara Hoffman 3. NBD

4. NBD  5. Amanda Uprichard  6. BB Dakota

7. Rebecca Minkoff  8. Sondra Roberts 9. Hoss Intropia

Woohoo for the weekend friends! I hope you all have fab ones! I will be posted up in the Wynn Casino playing the Britney Spears slot machine (not kidding, it’s my favorite! How can you not love a game that plays all her hits over and over again?) with a skinny marg in hand! (I finally joined Snapchat, so follow along to see the fun if you want! My name is currentlycaro) Cheers!

Hi guys, happy Tuesday! I have the busiest week ahead and the weather hasn’t been helping with my motivation. For those of you not in SoCal, we tend to get a bit of “May grey” around this time every year. Most people assume its always sunny here (and for the most part it is), but we do get super cloudy mornings that sometimes don’t burn off till late afternoon. On these days, I am all about throwing on some denim. My favorite denim trend right now is definitely high waisted, lighter washed and bit distressed.

One of my favorite go-to brands for all things right on trend is Lovers & Friends. If you are a reader of my blog, you already know this, as I am forever posting about them. From cute dresses to matching sets to all things denim. These jeans I am wearing in today’s post are from their Spring collection and I cannot stop wearing them! They are perfectly skinny and high waisted.

I paired them with this fun off the shoulder top from Lisakai (its apparently sold out so similar here and here). I just adore the fun orange color and floral detailing. I have to admit, I am started to tire of the whole off the shoulder look, but there are too many fun versions out to give it up quite yet. And I feel like it’s a great style to pair with denim as a way to Spring/Summer up your look.

For shoes, I went with the most simple, but fabulous “nudist” style heel from Stuart Weitzman. These are braided silver AND gold metallic, which I just love love. They literally go with everything! The most perfect neutral.

I grabbed my end all be all forever bag from Chanel to add a bit more Spring to the heavy denim. This bag is one of my everythings. The color is just so lush, but so neutral. I couldn’t not top this look off with these tortoise sunnies from Crap eyewhere (only $58!) as the cream matched my bag too perfectly. So fun, right?

Here are some more of my current denim favorites:

1. GRLFRND  2. BDG  3. A GOLD E 4. AG 5. Etienne Marcel

6. Paige  7. Tularosa  8. Zara  9. Citizens of Humanity

Hope you all have a great, productive day today! I have a ton to get done and just want it to be Friday! xo, Caro

Woohoo, it’s Friday!! So very excited for this weekend and to write this post. One of my favorite things about living in SoCal is that we are so close to so many fab destinations. We can be to the craziness that is LA in hour, to the beachy relaxation that is San Diego in hour, to the quant chicness that is Santa Barbara in a few hours and then of course, to the old school glam that is Palm Springs (my fave little getaway) in an hour. I adore the retro feeling of the desert and the fact that you just immediately feel like you are on vacation when you are there. Every neighborhood is well manicured and palm trees perfectly line every street. It’s pure Californian bliss.

When I go on any trip, I pack for my destination. With Palm Springs, you have to go with bright whites, big sunnies and of course some pops of color. This eyelet crop top and shorts from Clayton just screamed weekend in the des to me. I love the pieces together and also love that I will be able to wear them separately this Summer. These totally oversized and completely retro sunnies from Jonathan Adler (whose entire line of sunglasses is so fun btw) were the perfect option for this look.

For a fun POC, I went with my bright blue Balenciaga. You can never go wrong with blue and white when you are trying to create a vacay ready look. For shoes, I kept it neutral with my stacked heels from Raye. And for another little pop, I added on my turquoise adorned cuff from Natalie B.

When we go to the desert, my most favorite place to stay is the Ritz Carlton, Rancho Mirage. It’s beyond chic and dreamy! The pool and outdoor bar area are fab, the spa is dreamy and the staff is just always so kind.

A close second to that is of course the Parker. I love love it as well, but it’s just a different vibe. Definitely more of an authentic experience of PS and it is home to Norma’s (the most yum brunch ever).

For dinner, I highly suggest hitting up Wolfgang Puck Kitchen and Bar for a couple of margaritas and the most delicious pesto & burrata pizza you will ever have. For some major entertainment, post dinner hit up Peabody’s karaoke bar. These people are die hard and honestly should be on American Idol. My husband and I made the mistake of thinking we might get out there and break into song, but were quickly shot down by the amazing talent. So fun and fascinating! And one quick must see is definitely the original Trina Turk (891 N. Canyon Drive) store. Obviously her style is so Palm Springs, so this store has so much character.

Here are some pieces I would pack for a weekend in the des:

1. Beach People Towel  2. Tularosa Dress 3. Spitfire Sunnies

4. Marysia Bikini  5.Trina Turk Jumpsuit 6. Lovers & Friends Dress

7. Soft Joie Dress  8. Pitusa Coverup  9. Mara Hoffman Suit

10. Eliza Gran Bag   11. Capri Sandal   12. Michael Stars Hat

And just like that, I am off into the weekend! I hope you all enjoy yours! Thanks for reading.

Hi, friends! Happy May! I adore this time of the year as the temps begin to rise, the days get longer and the calendar seems to get filled with more fun activities. With warmer temps, comes cuter fashion too (atleast I think so!) One of my favorite trends for Spring and Summer is definitely all the new ways to wear denim. I feel like chambray shirts were all the rage the past couple of years, so I love that now the focus has so much variety in the different styles. From cute jumpsuits & rompers, to frayed hemline skirts and to of course, my focus today, dresses.

This ruffled bib apron style dress from Ulla Johnson was just too fun to pass up. I adore the fact that it has pockets and that the hemline is a bit frayed. It gives a rustic chic feel that I just love. It’s such a feminine take on denim!

I paired it with this most fabulous coral salmon crossbody from Celine. Do you die or do you die over this bag? I can’t even explain in words how much I adore it. The most perfect rough texture and the color is just everything. Definitely the perfect POC to this look.

I added this belt from Lovers & Friends just (because that’s what I do) to give the look a bit more personality and to break up the denim. For shoes, I went neutral with these embellished and super fun mini heels from Jeffrey Campbell. I am sad to say these seem to be pretty sold out everywhere, but a similar styles can be found here. (I only got these about a month ago, but apparently they are really popular!) I love love coral and turquoise, so I had to add on my oversized cuff from Natalie B. I can’t stop this beauty!

This trend is SO wearable and SO easy. I found these other version below and from my search I can tell you that almost every designer has their own take. Have fun with it and chose a fit that you feel comfortable in! I think adding a belt to basically all of these is imperative, but it’s also about wearing what feels good to you, so wearing any of these as is, is fab too!

Here are my other picks:

1.Kate Spade 2. KUT 3. Lovers & Friends 4. Mink Pink

5. BB Dakota 6. Cacharel 7. Current Elliott 8. Free People

I hope you are all having a great week so far and have a fab fab day today!
