EVERY SINGLE STRIPE

IMG_6576

Hi, friends! Happy Tuesday. Can we even believe that it’s literally JULY this week? Where did June go? Who knows, but I am loving the sunny, warm weather we have been having as it enables me to wear all my fun Summer gear.

IMG_6583

Simple stripes are the epitome of Summer to me. There is something so vacay and warm temp ready about them! I love incorporating them in my wardrobe, so when I found this super cute little romper from Line & Dot I couldn’t resist. It’s a bit preppy for me with the collared neck, but the shortness makes it even out (keepin it Caro sassy!) To give it some life, I added a woven belt from J.Crew (old, super cheap similar option here). I know you all know, but to me no outfit is complete without a belt! It just gives your look a more finished feel.

I thought these yellow heels from Steve Madden were the perfect way to top off this look. I think blue + yellow is such a fun combo for Summer. Plus it also pairs perfectly with brown tones, like the soft brown of this Gucci bag. This bag is so one of my all time fave purchases. Not because it’s anything over the top special, but more that it’s so usable It’s the perfect size for day to night and the long crossbody strap is super comfy (you know how some straps are all stiff or heavy??? This one is not).

IMG_6572

I added my Michele watch and this neutral Valentino bracelet for fun. I am kind of over arm stacking, but I do think it’s fun to kick up a daytime look with some wrist love. For sunnies I went standard with my blue mirrored lens Illesteva’s.

I am all about stripes for these warm temps! The best part about this trend is that you can take it on to your liking. You can go huge by wearing a striped maxi or jumpsuit or keep it more simple with a striped off the shoulder top or a fun striped espadrille. Sidenote: when doing horizontal stripes, just remember to stick to thinner ones as it’s more flattering!

So here’s to stripes, the all time Summer trend that always seems to stick around. These are some more pieces I currently have my eye on:

1. L’Academie 2.WAYF 3. Tularosa 4. Three Eighty Two

5. Sanctuary 6. Privacy Please 7. MISA 8. d.Ra 9. Bella Dahl

I am off to lunch today with two of my favorite friends on the planet so I am smiling big this morning! Is there anything better than a little girl time? I can answer that for you, no!! Hope you guys all have a fab week!

TIED UP AND BOMBING OUT

IMG_6550 2

TGIF!! Woo woo, so glad it’s the weekend friends! We went out last night (on a school night, I know!) because one of Colby’s best friends from college was in town from San Fran, so today I am moving a bit slower than normal. What is it about going out on a Thursday that makes you feel like drinking that extra drink (or is that just me?? haha) Not sure, but I am currently drinking all the water in hopes of salvaging myself!

IMG_6551 2

Anyways, today I am talking two trends that I currently love: tie front detailing and the bomber. Both are huge this season and will most definitely not last, so my advice to you guys is to get your fix with wallet friendly finds (like these I am wearing!) I found this super fun white Kendall and Kylie romper on revolve.com and had to try it. Considering that they are little young things, I am highly impressed with the quality of their clothing line. This is the second piece from the line I have gotten and I just can’t get over how well made it is. The material is thick and durable, which is important when buying something white! I love how fun and flirty the tie front detailing is. It’s sexy without being slutty!

I love a good layer for nights out and always struggle to find ones that are cute. I searched and searched for a bomber before finding this rad one at Zara. Most were too big, too poofy or too just not right. But this one, it fits like a charm! I love the fun colors and the fact that it’s not too oversized. And really, the best part about it is that it matches my newest little BFF, this insane orange red Celine nano. I picked this beauty up at Barneys in LA over Memorial Day weekend and literally have not put her away since.

IMG_6541 2

Because my bag and the bomber are both so loud, I went with these simple white Stuart Weitzman heels (on sale!) I added on a couple of necklaces (this one from Gorjana and this one from Brooklyn Grace Jewelry), but otherwise kept my accessories minimal. I needed my most glam sunnies, so I went with these faves from Le Specs.

IMG_6549 2

Both of these trends are 100% people friendly! And by that I mean, anyone can try them and should. The bomber is a perfect option for layering, just make sure to get one that fits you as that will keep it looking feminine. Here are some more not too spendy tie front rompers and bombers that I found and like:

1. Bardot 2. Glamorous 3. Raga 4.Lucca Couture 5. WAYF

6. Topshop 7. Topshop 8. Topshop 8. Obey

I hope you all enjoy your weekends! I am just glad it’s only going to be the high 80’s here and not the 100’s like it was last weekend. Wish me luck with this hangover!! Happy Friday and shopping!

SUMMER CITRUS

IMG_6527

Hi, hi! Happiest Tuesday, friends! It’s a dang scorcher over here in SoCal. I am all about warm, sunny weather until it hits 90+ and then I am out. It’s impossible to be productive and get things done when it’s just unbearablely hot, right? Summer is definitely starting on a fiery note!

IMG_6516

Today it’s all about my love for all things citrus tones in these dog days of Summer. I find oranges and yellows to be so refreshing and fun. And nothing looks better with a good tan than these colors (and we allllll know I love a good tan!) I found this fab top + skirt from Mink Pink on revolve.com and just loved the bright, cheery print. I am slowly getting over matching sets, but at the same time they are so easy to throw on and I always think they look cute. Because the top is literally a tiny bandeau, I added on this dark denim jacket from Current Elliott (because let’s get real, I am too old to be out & about in a bra top!) I have to be honest, I used to hate hate denim jackets. I guess because I lived through the 90’s when they were super popular, so it feels childish to me whenever I try them on. I can’t stand when they are stiff and boxy, so when I randomly tried on this one, I was pleasantly surprised at the stretchy material and snug fit. Now, I find myself throwing this puppy on all the time! It’s just a great neutral that can be worn with so much.

IMG_6514

I added my favorite Brooklyn Grace Jewelry crescent moon choker, my little everyday Shashi necklace and this Gorjana necklace to spice up my bare neckline. For bag, my little rockstud Valentino was the perfect complimentary choice. For shoes, I kept it super neutral with these platforms (sold out in tan, here in black) from Raye the Label. And to bring out the gold tones on the jacket and my necklaces, I threw on these oversized mirrored sunnies from Karen Walker.

IMG_6517

To me, Summertime is supposed to be colorful and fun, so why not embrace that in your fashion? Even if it’s just adding a little pop in your bag or shoe choice, thats better than continually rocking all black (or white). I don’t like when people say, “only you can pull that off, Caro” because I really don’t think thats true. I think it simply comes down to putting something on and wearing it with confidence. Then all the sudden you are “pulling it off!” SO embrace all things YOU and just mix some color in.

Here are some more fun (totally wearable) citrus toned options:

1. Alice & Olivia 2. Sanctuary 3. Bella Luxx  4. Free People

5. Free People 6. Amanda Uprichard 7. Lovers + Friends 8. Oh My Love 9. Spell & the Gypsy

LACE & THE LWR

06.10.2016 Currently Caro-49

TGIF!! Woohoo, the weekend is here! And it’s SUNNY and warm in SoCal finally! Yay Summer! I feel today’s post being all about the LWR (little white romper) couldn’t be more perfectly timed with this weather. I have always been a huge LWD fan, but this Summer it’s all about the romper version. It’s just such a flirty way to change up your look and one that I really love.

This lace, cutout fabulousness from Alexis is a pure Summer dream, right? The minute I tried this on, I knew it would be one of my Summer go-to’s. A bit boho with the flared sleeve and super romantic + feminine with the high neck. I can never let a look go too minimalistic, so I had to add on this fun leopard clutch from Loeffler Randall. I actually use this beauty as my makeup case, but love to use it as a clutch too! The colors are just so rich and the tassel detailing on the zipper is so fun.

For shoes, I wanted to keep it neutral, but also fun, so I went with these gold tie up heels from Aquazzara. How Grecian goddess are these? I am obsessed!! I will link some similar less spendy options below because this style is everywhere right now & too fun not to have. For sunnies, I wanted to go with something gold to match the shoes, so I went with these fab (and totally huge aka my fave) Karen Walker mirrored ones. I have these in plain black, so I couldn’t help myself when I saw she made them in the mirrored version (because hello if you haven’t caught on, I am mirrored lens obsessed!!)

I couldn’t be more excited about the official start of Summer next week and all the fun fashion that comes with it. White is such a must do when it comes to warm temps and I really am feeling the simplicity of the one and done romper. A great look for day (with a fun lace up flat or wedge) and night with some fun heels. Here are some more of my faves:

1. Lovers & Friends 2. Zimmerman 3. Tularosa 4. Endless Rose ($58!)

5. Tularosa 6. Sen 7. Rachel Zoe 8. Lulu’s ($25!)

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! We are date nighting at Bandera tonight (super yum! Best grilled artichoke ever!) and double dating at Carmelita’s tomorrow night, so we have a delicious weekend ahead for sure! Cheers! And happy shopping!

BLACK WHITE RED

IMG_6433

Hi friends, it’s Tuesday! I hope you all had a great Monday and started your week off well! We are supposed to be getting a surge of heat later in the week and I cannot wait. I don’t do well with cooler temps in Summer months, it’s just seems so weird to have to wear jeans and sweaters!

IMG_6427

Today it’s all about one of my favorite (and totally timeless) combos: black, white and red. As you guys know, I am a huge color lover, but I also love a monochromatic look too. I found this fab polka dot top at Intermix and just couldn’t resist the oversized one shoulder ruffle. It’s so dramatic, but also so simple. I wanted to make the white dots pop, so I paired it with these cutoffs from AGoldE. Sidenote: you need a white denim cutoff for Summer! These fit so well and are thick enough that they don’t show anything (you get me?) I will link some other faves below, but trust me about these!

IMG_6437

To kick the look up a notch, I needed some color and nothing pairs with b&w quite like red. It makes me want to go to Paris… but that’s just me! These Celine sunnies were the perfect pop of red. I am obsessed with these lately! The red is such a rich, full of life color and the shape is just too fun.

IMG_6436

IMG_6432

Keeping with the black and white, I went with this mini Balenciaga crossbody (in plain black here). I adore this little buddy! So little, but such a big statement. For shoes, I went with these super-platform black suede heels from Raye. These puppies are so comfy and easy to walk in, which is always fab when it comes to heels this high. The espadrille bottom is also so fun for Summer.

IMG_6428

I added on my Natalie B turq cuff and this ring from Angelique de Paris. I think combining black and white is always a chic idea. It’s a forever trend that is so easy & effortless. My thoughts are to keep it simple, but also give your look life with a colored accessory. And go get yourself some white cutoffs!

Here are some fun black and white tops as well as some other fab white cutoffs.

1. Line & Dot 2. L’Academie 3. L’Academie 4. Equipment

5. J Brand 6. James 7. Citizens of Humanity 8. Blank NYC

I hope you guys have a great day today! I have lunch plans with an old college friend, which is always fun!
Happy shopping!
