BANANAS FOR GRAPHIC TEES

IMG_6808

Happy hump day, friends! With the holiday on Monday, this week is flying by! And with the start of July, so is Summer (so crazy!)

Summer to me is all about easy fashion. Lately during the day, I have been really into throwing on a fun tee and either a jean skirt or shorts. Graphic tees are definitely all the rage, so I figured I might as well jump on the bus with this cute “Cool Bananas” one from Mate the Label. It’s so retro and uber beachy, right? I loved the vibe and knew it would pair perfectly with this button up jean skirt from Clayton. Jean skirts have so made a comeback and I could not be more happy about it! They are just a fun (and more feminine) switch up from all the usual jean shorts. I threw on my braided J.Crew belt because no look is complete without one (mine is old, similar here)!

Keeping with the neutral tone of the tee, I went with these super fun heels from Urge. I found these gold studded beauties on revolve.com and have been wearing them nonstop! They are super comfy and I love that they are mules. Also, super on trend and pretty cost efficient at $150.

For my bag, I couldn’t not go with my cream Chanel as it matched the shirt perfectly. I felt like this retro look definitely deserved (and needed) a choker, so I went with my fave fave “millie” choker from Brooklyn Grace Jewelry. For sunnies, I wanted to stick with all things neutral, so I chose my Le Specs with gold mirrored lenses.

After styling this tee, I have been so into all the ones that are out right now. It’s just so much more fun than throwing on a basic white or black tee. Here are some of my other faves:

1. Mate the Label 2. Wildfox 3. Sundry 4. Sol Angeles 5. Sol Angeles

6. RVCA 7. Rip Curl 8. Chaser 9. Clayton

I hope you are all enjoying your short week! I am working on giving my blog a makeover this week, as I know right now it’s pretty JV (junior varsity). When I started this, I went with the most basic blog option as I wanted to be sure I truly loved spending time here before spending money to make it more legit. Now that I am five months in (woohoo!) and loving it, I know it’s time for a little face lift! Any suggestions or ideas are more than welcome. Have a fab day friends!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA

IMG_6627

Happy Friday and holiday weekend, friends! I love love the 4th of July! First because I truly do feel so lucky to live in America and second because it’s a total excuse to dress festive and get together with friends. I try not to get too obnoxious with my festiveness, but I will say this romper is a bit loud!

I got an email from Show Me Your Mumu debuting their fun pieces for the 4th and I don’t know, I just fell in love with this silly star covered romper! I paired it with my go- to western style B-low the Belt in tan to give it a bit more attitude and to break up the stars a bit.

Keeping with the red, white and blue theme, I had to go with my bright red Celine nano. I mean I wouldn’t be doing this look justice if I didn’t have a pop of red, right? I kept it simple with my shoes (the last thing you want to do when you are wearing a romper covered in big white stars is throw on some crazy shoes!) and went with my tan “nudist” heels from Stuart Weitzman. Again and again with this style!! I just love a simple, clean, easy, chic heel.

For accessories, I again went fairly simple. I added this Natalie B choker I found revolve.com and then this Natalie B cuff that I bought online. I can’t stop her stuff! It’s all a bit western and totally fun. For sunnies, I wanted to make the silver jewelry pop, so I went with my silver lens Ilestevas.

I know the weekend is here, so shopping any of these items is super last minute, but here are some more fun ideas for the weekend (and really wear in the next coming months because to me this red/white/blue stuff is just super American Summery!)

1. Tularosa 2. Michael Stars 3. Wildfox 4. Susana Monaco

5. One Teaspoon 6. Soludos  7. Free People 8. Heartloom

I hope you all have a fab long weekend! We have some dinners planned as well as a fun bbq with some of our most favorite friends on Sunday night. On Monday we actually have to stay home with our sweet little pup (well he’s actually a 12 year old grandpa) because he can’t hang with the fireworks. No really. One year he literally ate all the hair off his tail….not ok!! The 4th to me is all about fam, so our own lil mini celebration is fine by me! Cheers to America and the weekend!
