FALL MUST: THE LEOPARD CARDI

IMG_8201

Hi hi!! Happiest Friday!  I am so excited we are fully into September as it means it’s officially time for all things Fall (I know, it’s still super warm out, but who cares?! Any real fashionista knows you dress by the calendar, not the temperature outside!)

Today I am here to share with you one of my major must haves this season, the leopard cardi. I have always viewed leopard as a neutral and think it’s a print that never ever goes out. Obviously there are variations of leopard and my favorite versions are clearly not the same as the good ‘ol Snookie and Jersey Shore one (love them, but you get me, right?)

I couldn’t not scoop up this House of Harlow cardi when I found it on Revolve (here is a $55 super simliar version). Not only is it fabulously oversized, but it has gold tones mixed in! I am a gold lover (talk about the best and most amazing neutral ever), so I cannot stop throwing this on and wearing it like a coat (some other ways I have worn it: over a simple black tank with black denim, over a black romper for night out, over a spaghetti strap white dress….) For this look, I paired it with a long sleeve scoop neck bodysuit (also by House of Harlow) because it is so comfy!! I know bodysuits can be scary, but as long as you wear them with higher waisted pieces, they are so fun and look so cute. Since it is actually still 85 degrees here everyday, I went with my favorite high waisted denim cutoffs from Lovers and Friends.

For shoes, I wanted to keep with the Fall transitional feel, so I went with these super fun booties from Vince Camuto. How cute is the side tassel detailing? They are super comfy and I love the perfect neutral color. I threw on this super dainty and fun choker from Frasier Sterling (I have this little $17 accessory in black too and can’t stop wearing it. I love the choker trend, but am not a fan of all the thicker versions. I think super simple looks the best) to give the look some pizazz.

My black luggage Celine was the perfect bag for this easy daytime look as well as my super oversized Karen Walkers.

I hope you all have the best weekend! I have a wedding tomorrow, so I won’t be partaking in any weekend fun until Sunday (but I plan on making up for the lost time that day fully!!)

Happy weekend + shopping!

MORE THAN JUST A TEE

Hi guys! Happy hump day! I have to be honest, I am still trying to recover and refocus after the long weekend! We had 3 full days of fun and I just am having the hardest time getting back in the swing.

newbie

Today I am keeping it super simple with my version of the white tee. Let’s start with the fact that I am so not a tee + jeans sort of gal. As much as I try to be, I always just feel so weird being sooo casual (haha, so dramatic, I know!) So when I found this fun Endless Rose version on shopbop.com, I was instantly in love. I adore that it’s a tshirt, but that it has so much life! A little personality is always fun in the world of fashion. The lace peplum is just so girly and the best part is that it’s only $55. Can’t beat it, right?

I added on a belt because again, I am not into being plain and simple! Belting is my life as it just gives you more of a waist and adds more to your look. Mine is old J.Crew, but here is a super similar option.

I paired it with these super light grey jeans from A GOLD E and my most simple heels from Steve Madden (again, I know…I am telling you, they are the best!) I couldn’t resist a pop of color, so I grabbed my fave blood orange nano Celine. For sunnies, I wanted to make the white of the tee pop, so I went with these from Le Spec.

Here are some more fun white not-s0-simple tees that I am currently eyeing:

I hope you all have a fab fab day today! Mine is pretty much nonstop, so I need to gear up stat! I have been working on a big wedding for well over a year and it is this coming weekend…cue the major stress sweats! Happy day and happy shopping!

A PRINTED PLUNGE

Happy long weekend, friends! Who else is wondering how in the world is it September?!! This whole month is a busy one for me, but I love this time of year and am so ready for all the fun Fall fashion!    IMG_8091

Today is all about this most fab little For Love and Lemons mini. I am beyond obsessed with this dress!! How fun is the print and color combo? I have always had a thing for red + pink, so I was it was an instant must have for me. Not usually one for plunging necklines, I just went with it and kinda loved it! I usually freak about being able to wear a bra, so I atleast wore this Nubra for a little support and it was fine. I love the long sleeves and can’t wait to wear this in the cooler temps with a tan over the knee boot!

I paired this flirty little number with this bright red Rebecca Minkoff clutch. I love the size and super durable material of this bag! Such high quality for such a great price ($95).

For shoes, I let the dress do the talking and went with these from Steve Madden (see I told you guys I love these Stuart Weitzman knockoffs! I swear they are more comfy and easier to walk in!) And for sunnies, I went with my gold mirror lens Le Specs (I wear these nonstop. If you need a neutral, but fun sunglass option, these are them!)

Here are a couple more fun, flirty long sleeve dresses I have had my eye on:

Well I hope you all have the most fab weekend! We are going down to Del Mar to the horse races tomorrow and I can’t wait! If you don’t live here, the horse races run for a couple of months and are always so much fun. Great people watching and the horse track is right near the coast line, so amazing views! Last year when we went I won three races in a row (I am no betting pro, I literally just choose the horses with the cutest names), so I am hoping for another day of luck! Enjoy your weekend, lovelies!!
