ALL THE 70’s VIBES

Monday, Monday!! And Halloween! Hi guys, how are you all? I woke up today feeling refreshed from a great weekend and ready to start a new week. I have been feeling so grateful and happy lately for some reason! I do not know if it’s the time of year or what, but regardless, I am full of love for everything. Maybe because it’s somehow November, which means we are inching closer to my most favorite month, December (hello holidays and my birthday!)

Today I am getting a bit 70’s retro in this super fun Show Me Your Mumu paisley printed mini. I found this long sleeve love on revolve.com and just loved the color and fit. I cannot get enough of this style of dresses lately as they are so wearable and so easy! I actually broke my own rule for this post and went belt-less for a couple of shots. But you guys, how much does this side by side comparison below confirm my belt theory?!!! Without the belt I honestly look so much more sluggish and like I could possibly be pregnant (haha exaggerating, but you get me!) So, just to reiterate, belts are LIFE!

img_9859

I picked this fun light tan belt to pull from the neutral tones of the dress as I really wanted to wear these most fab Stuart Weitzman otk boots. How divine is this color? I have been wearing these nonstop with denim skirts and over my fave dark skinnies. Again, I know these are a splurge, but trust me they are so worth it. They are not only comfy, but they are durable and so well made (plus they stay tied up on your leg unlike the knock off versions)

I kept it simple with my cream Chanel and these super fun (and also totally 70’s) Jimmy Choo sunnies. This dress and this style of dress is such a great go-to for this time of year. Whether you pair it with a short bootie, a simple flat boot or otk boots like I did, it’s just a great option for day or night. When it starts to get cooler, a simple fur vest or furry jacket would be a fab addition!

Here are some more printed mini’s I am eyeing:

Wishing you all a fab week! I am looking forward to a fun lunch with friends tomorrow and a blogger event on Wednesday. If you are celebrating Halloween today, have fun! I am excited to see everyone’s fun pics (especially of all the littles) tonight on insta! Have a great day and happy shopping! xo, Caro

STATEMENT BELT OBSESSED

Hi guys! A really quick post today as my week has been hectic and I haven’t had time to sit down and do a real post. First, if you missed my instagram post yesterday, I added a tab “Current Faves” on my menu bar above. If you click on it, you will find a page dedicated to all the things I am eyeing and lusting over! Some of the things are major and some are just simple basics. A little mix of everything I think is fun and fab right now.

img_9601Second, today’s quick post is all about my mega obsession with statement belts. I can’t stop belts in general and lately I am loving ones that have personality. A great option to pair with a plain dress or to add life to your favorite jeans and tee. Here are all the ones on my radar right now.

Happy shopping and I promise to be back with a full post later this week! Hope you are all enjoying your last week in October! xo, Caro

FEMININE FLORAL AND THE ESSENTIAL ANORAK

Happy Friday, friends! How are you all today? I am fab fab as we have a fun weekend ahead and I get to see my sweet momma on Sunday! I am so lucky to have a very stylish, hip mom who is also super kind, generous and loving. She inspires me on the daily to be a better person and also to never leave the house until I am dressed! It must be her Southern roots, but she is always perfection even just to go to the grocery and I really admire that!

anorak-5Anyways, back to todays post! I am having such a moment over anoraks, specifically over them paired with girly pieces. I know they have been on trend for years, but for some reason I am feeling them more now. This one, from BP, is a total steal ($69) and is super fab because you can cinch it in to give yourself more of a waist (we allllll know my obsession with giving yourself a waist!) I paired it with this pastel floral mini from Show Me Your Mumu. Now I know this dress might be a little short for some, so I 100% support wearing skinny jeans under it. I actually wore it like that on the way home from Vegas to stay warm on the plane!

anorak-4

I belted the dress just because that’s what I do and because honestly it’s super voluminous without it. I love pairing olive green and tan, so this belt from Love Strength was the perfect option. For shoes, I wanted to keep it flirty, so I went with these most fab velvet Steve Madden heels. Do you die or do you die?! I have to be honest, I got these in two other colors because they are that amazing! The heel is gold, which I just adore.

anorak-2

To tie in the soft pink shoes, I went with my blush Saint Laurent crossbody clutch. This color is sold out, but here is a fab neutral and other pink I love. For sunnies, I kept it in the blush tones with these (my signature faves that I wear nonstop) from Le Spec.

anorak-3

An anorak is so essential for Fall and so so easy to wear with so much! Obviously I prefer it with more girly pieces just because it’s a fun combo, but I also think it would be fab with a tee + jeans or with a tank + skirt too. That’s why I LOVE fashion.  Style is always and forever your OWN take on pieces. You should never feel like you need to wear certain things any certain way. Instead you should wear things that make you feel good and that are truly things that you like. Just a little important sidenote as I feel like sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of your own self when shopping. It’s fine to be inspired by others, but always always just be you!!

Here are some more flirty and fun dresses I am eyeing as well as a couple of additional anoraks (although I promise you this BP one is the best. Although the fun sequined adorned Topshop one is pretty fun!)

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! We have dinner with some besties tonight, a fun store opening + dinner tomorrow and then my mom arrives Sunday for a quick couple of days. The weather is actually supposed to cool off a bit next week, so I am so looking forward to breaking out all the sweaters and fun boots! Anyways, enjoy your weekends and happiest shopping!

LONG SLEEVE ROMPER LOVE

Hi hi! It’s already Wednesday! This week is flying by for some reason and I have barely had time to sit down to sneak in this post.

leopard-romper-5

Today I am talking all things long sleeved rompers. Such a fun and easy piece to wear this time of year! I love the comfort of long sleeves and think it’s so fab to be a bit sassy in a romper like this one from Elliatt. How amazing is this colorful leopard print? I am obsessed with the mix of colors! The material is pretty thick, so it makes it a piece I will be wearing into Winter with tights and over the knee boots. I love the high neck and the unexpected little peephole detailing.

leopard-romper-1

I added on this skinny wrap belt from Lovers & Friends to give it a more finished look. I know I say this literally every post, but belts do wonders for a look! They give you a waist and just add so much life to your outfit. I promise you they will change your life. (Quick Caro rule of thumb: with busy looks, go skinny and for more plain, go wide!) For shoes, I wanted to keep it feminine and fun, so I chose these velvet lovers from Alexandre Birman. Gaaah, I am in love love with these!! The texture is amazing and the fun ties are too cute. Here is a super fab version from Steve Madden too!

leopard-romper-3

For bag, I went with my Gucci soho because the leopard printed-ness needed a the simple option. Sunnies are my oversized Karen Walkers.

Back to my long sleeve romper love. I just adore that you can throw on a fur vest or a leather jacket and be so cute in them! Since Fall is no where to be found out here (90 degrees today….I mean, really?!) I will be wearing them solo with heels, but in cooler months, the addition of booties or tights will be so fun!

Here are some more that I am eyeing:

I hope you are all having the most enjoyable week! I just can’t understand where time is going lately. Do you feel like as we inch closer to the holidays it all seems to go so fast? We were discussing over the weekend how it’s literally just 10 weeks till Christmas! So insane (but so so so so fab!!!) Happy mid week and happy shopping! xo, Caro

KEEPING IT SIMPLE IN A MINI & BOOTS

Happy Friday, friends!! Cheers to being done with the week that has so dragged along! I am starting my weekend off right with a lunch date with some of my faves, which I can’t wait for. Nothing like a lil girl time, right?

img_9188

So today it’s all about my current uniform! If you were to see me around OC, I would probably be wearing something super similar to this outfit. I live for easy day to night looks like this! A fab top, a mini skirt and a great bootie. Nothing too over the top, just easy pieces that together make a finished look.

img_9179

This top, by the Line & Dot, is everything! I adore the high neck and the fact that it’s sheer as that gives it a totally chic feel. I will link some other fun tops like this below because you can never have too many options, right? I paired it with this super fun little black mini skirt from Lovers & Friends. I fell for this fabness because of the gold button detailing and the A-line fit. A bit 70’s, which I love!

img_9181

Onto my boots…these are my current OBSESSION! I have been on such an mid-leg boot kick lately and I am super particular about the way they fit. I have found a version from Stuart Weitzman that I adore, but I was so excited to find these from Steve Madden as they are definitely easier on the wallet ($159 vs $565). They hit your leg at just the right spot and have a cinching detailing that is so fun. I highly recommend these to wear with all your dresses/skirts as well as with leather leggings and skinny jeans. SO fun.

img_9182

For accessories, I went mellow with my usual Karen Walker sunnies and then this blush pink Saint Laurent bag (this color unavailable, but I love this neutral tan and this pink). I do love to mix cream, black and blush!

img_9184

This look is obviously so simple, but sometimes that’s what makes the best outfits! Here are some more fab tops, skirts and mid-leg boots I am loving:

Wishing you all the most enjoyable weekend! Although I so wish we were back in Vegas, we do have some yummy dinners planned and some chill time too. The weather finally has cooled off a bit here and it’s been so dreamy! I love being able to throw on a cozy sweater at night. Anyways, happiest weekend and shopping! xoxo, Caro
