LACE & DENIM

HAPPY FRIDAY, FRIENDS! We made it through this tre hectic week! I have been nonstop and will continue to be nonstop until we leave for our trip to Mexico. I haven’t actually packed a thing yet, which is so unlike me as I normally pack atleast a week in advance for a trip. I usually map out all my outfits and get them all set to go, but since I am shooting a ton of looks today I have been super consumed with that. Trying to come up with Wintery outfits when it’s still 90 degrees out as been interesting!

Anyways, today I am talking all about my current love for all things lace and denim. Such a flirty combo! I found this fun WAYF top (here too) on shopbop.com and loved the high neck and long sleeves. It came with a nude tank, but in typical me fashion, I switched it up, got rid of the tank and just threw on this bralette with it. Now if you are feeling too scared to wear it like this, I think a black cami underneath is still super cute (not a fan of the nude though). I have been wearing this top nonstop! It looks really fun with high waisted skinnies as well as any skirt (velvet, metallic) or even a high waisted black trouser would be fun with it! (Its sadly not available in some sizes, so I will link a ton of other options below)

Onto this super fab denim skirt from GRLFRND. I love the broken in look and the fact that it’s so high waisted (I clearly have an obsession). This skirt is so fun with just a simple tee or oversized cozy sweater and some flat otk boots too. To keep with the flirty and fun feel, I went with these fun booties from Michael Kors that I found at Saks while we were in Vegas (sadly they are sold out in black, here and here are similar options). I love how they hit right at your ankle- definitely a leg lengthener!

Since I was thinking date night when I was putting this look together, I went this super plush wine colored velvet clutch from Rebecca Minkoff (also available here). How super dreamy??! I plan on using this fabness all holiday season long! I adore that its so on trend, but not too spendy ($95). It would be a fun gift for your bestie or sister too! I finished off this look with my go-to Karen Walkers because the black + gold matched perfectly! Everyone always asks about my criss cross ring…it’s 100% not real and 100% this one from BP ($12!!) Of course I want the real version by EF Jewels, but I am pretty happy with this one for now! And my nail color is OPI “Lincoln Park After Dark” a total oldie but goodie that I wear nonstop!

Here are some more fun black lace tops I am loving:

Have the happiest weekend!! Hopefully we will have wi-fi next week so I can continue with my blogposts, but if not, you will know why I am MIA! We are going on this getaway btw because my sweet, amazing husband won Regional Manager of the Year (I felt like I needed to capitalize that for some reason?? hahah) and this is his reward trip. Now don’t get me wrong, I am so thankful for a free tropical vacay, but at the same time, it’s kinda weird to go somewhere you didnt pick, stay in a hotel you know nothing about, take flights you didnt book (I know first world problems over here!!) I definitely am grateful for time away with my boo, that’s for sure! That’s what I love about us, we literally can have fun together no matter where we are! Anyways, happy shopping and enjoy the weekend! xo, Caro

I am really into high neck lace tops too! I found one I liked last year and bought four! *Insert embarrassed emoji* They are so good though and when you like something it’s so sad wearing it out! I’m so pleased velvet has come around again as it is lovely and your clutch is gorgeous. I hope you guys had a lovely break 🙂
