Happy Happy Friday, friends! What a whirlwind this week was! Sorry for the lack of posts, the holidays are here and it’s been wild! I had events three nights this week and am shooting some looks in a couple of days, so I have just been running around. Don’t you feel like every year everyone makes a big deal over getting ready for Christmas before Thanksgiving? So then we all wait till after, but there is like no time to get it all done, right?! Eep!
Today it’s all about my current love for the high neck blouse. I feel like all the fun new tops right now have this victorian-ish cut and I am loving it! So super feminine and girly. This one, by one of my all time faves Rebecca Taylor, caught my eye with it’s subtle sparkle and great mix of colors. I love navy, it’s such a nice switch up from the everyday black. This top is magic alone, but I had to pair it with this eggplant Iro leather jacket because it so perfectly matched some of the color detailing.
For jeans, it was these from Grlfrnd (the “naomi”) again because I can’t stop these (they come in petite too here)! I gave them a little roll this time to show off my shoes and I have to be honest, I so wish I hadn’t! Do you ever do that with look? I swear when I was planning this outfit it looked so cute, but then when I got the images I was so not into it. So point is, if you get these, no need to roll! Haha, I am rambling!
For shoes, I was feeling feisty, so I went with these oldie but goodies from Steve Madden (super similar here). I am so not over this fab style, especially in this fun silver! For bag I kept it simple and neutral with this light pink Valentino crossbody. For sunnies, I went with my oldest, first pair of Illestevas. These are a forever love!
The high neck trend is just a fun way to dress up your everyday look! I have a couple of lace tops with this neck and I love that it gives them a more modest feel (like this one from a couple of looks ago!) Here are some more I am loving:
Wishing you all the best weekend! It’s holiday madness for us and I couldn’t be more happy! Be sure to check out my gift guide as I am constantly adding new ideas! Happy shopping!
