TAN CARDI COZINESS

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday and last day in January! What a fab and fun month it has been (well minus that 2 weeks of pure rain we had!) I love that we are inching closer to all things Spring and warmer temps.

Today it’s all about my love for a cozy cardi, specifically tan or neutrally colored ones. Camel tones have been all the rage this season and while I didn’t jump on the coat bandwagon, I did invest in this most fab cardi from Vince (available here too). This cashmere fabness is absolutely so worth every penny and I have no doubt it will be a staple in my closet in the next coming years. You cannot beat the classic fit or how well made it is.

What I love most about this cardi is the versatility. I find myself throwing it on with a tank and jeans, belting it over leggings and wearing it more like a coat with a long maxi dress. For this look, I paired it with a simple lace cami and this super cute and fun burgundy corduroy skirt ($60!!) from Topshop. I love that the cardi is a bit longer than the skirt! So one of the trends I have been loving lately.

Since the temps have still been all over the place, I chose these Stuart Weitzman otk boots to help keep me warm. This color is sadly sold out, but here they are in other colors and here is a $99 similar option. I added on this super simple layered choker from Vanessa Mooney just to spice up the neckline a bit. For bag, I broke out my newest Saint Laurent love that I got for Christmas…..eep!! I just LOVE this bag. I found this beauty at Capitol, the most luxurious and fabulous boutique ever in Charlotte, NC where my parents live. If you live in the area or ever visit, it is a MUST see. First of all, the store itself is a work of art from an architectural stand point. Second, the inventory is so over the top fab that you will just be in awe. Back to the bag, I had to have it! I haven’t seen this particular style anywhere (which I love) and hello, it’s heart shaped and leopard print. Does not get any cooler!

So if you are debating whether or not you need this cardi or one of these others I am loving below, I clearly think you do. It’s just a simple layer that will forever be chic and a go-to piece in your closet. Here are some more options:

I hope you guys all have a really fab Tuesday! I am off to Javier’s for a shower/lunch to celebrate one of my friends and her little baby on the way. I am also all busy as we are jetting off on a weekend trip on Thursday, so I need to start packing (which I am SO terrible at!) Anyone else just end up bringing it all and more? I get such anxiety over not having what I “might” need….haha, wish me luck!

BLACK AND WHITE BELL SLEEVED

Happy Thursday, friends! The sun is shining here, it’s a tad warmer and the weekend is almost here! And I am so excited about this post as I truly adore this outfit!

The minute I saw this Milly sweater I knew it would fit amazing and that it must be in my closet! You really cannot beat classic black and white stripes and when you add on these amazing bell sleeves it’s just MAGIC. For this look I paired it with a high waisted denim, but honestly you could wear this top so many ways (would be fun with a red skirt, with a high waisted flared black pant or with a jean skirt). I love it with these fun $98 Levi’s as it’s just a simple, but totally fun combo. By the way, these jeans are so fab! They dont stretch out and they are perfectly super duper skinny (sometimes it’s hard to find denim that stays really tight, right?) I gave them a tiny roll at the hem for fun.

For shoes, I wanted to keep it the look all black and white for some reason (I say that because we all know I LOVE a pop of color), so I went with these black pumps from Jimmy Choo. This style from them (they have been doing it for a couple of seasons now) is my ultimate fave as the ankle strap keeps the pump on your foot (which makes walking in them a dream!) For bag, keeping with the classic feels, I went with my Chanel.

These sunnies!! You guys, they are pearl adorned! I can’t tell you how fab they are in real life, but if you like a touch of glam, you need them! SO fun. Since it’s been a bit chilly here, I threw my Iro leather jacket as the perfect touch to top off this already super minimalistic look.

Stripes are such a major trend for Spring ’17 (well let’s get real, stripes are always on trend) which I am so excited about. From what was projected on the runaway shows, there are going to be colorful variations and of course classic black and white.

Here are some more striped pieces I am so eyeing:

Well I hope you guys have a great Thursday and wonderful weekend! I am shooting looks tomorrow, then date nighting with my hubs (who has been so busy with work this week I have barely seen him)! The weather is supposed to be amazing here, so I am so excited to break out my jean skirts and shorts and just fully take in alllll the vitamin D!

Happy shopping! xo, Caro

ROCKIN OUT

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday! Woohoo, half way through the week (and if you live in SoCal, hooray for the return of our normal sunny weather!) My week has been so great so far. As I mentioned last week, I attended a mood board creating session over the weekend and you guys, it was SO inspiring! Have you ever done one? If not, I highly recommend making one as it’s a way to set intentions for the new year (or for life in general). This whole week I have just been feeling so motivated and excited for this coming year. (I didn’t get any good pics of it, but will share a quick one from a boomerang I did at the bottom of this post, just so you can get the idea!)

On to today’s post! Rocker tees are everywhere! Such a big trend right now and I just love the edginess of them. Most people go a little more vintage and oversized with theirs, but keeping in line with my own style (as you should with all trends), I chose this girly fitted pink KISS one from Junk Food Tees. Still a little bit edgy, but way more feminine for sure. I paired it with this simple blazer from Topshop (that is such a good piece to have in your closet to wear with other things (over a lace cami with jeans, over a white v neck tee and a jean skirt, over a super girly floral dress…so many ways to wear it!))

Keeping it really girly, I chose this super fun velvet skirt also from Topshop. I am obsessed with this mini! It’s so fun and goes with so much! With a sweater and over the knee boots or maybe with a silk cami and a leather jacket..so fab. I threw on my fave semi sheer tights from Wolford (these are amazing if you haven’t tried them (they are so soft!)) and these studded boots from Valentino. Such rocker vibes with these booties, right?

For my bag, I had to spice it up a bit with my pink Gucci (that I got in Vegas for our 9 year anniversary!! Such a fun momentum from that fab trip). This bag makes me SO happy. It’s just the best color, size and makes me think of such great times. For sunnies, I kept it minimal with these from Jimmy Choo.

This trend is so fun and definitely one everyone can try. Like I mentioned earlier, if you want to make it a bit edgier, go with a more oversized fit and pair it with a boyfriend jean.

p.s. Can we discuss how totally gorgeous my alma mater is? We did my last round of outfits there and I am so excited to share more of them as the campus is just out of this world gorgeous! I may be biased, but seriously it’s so pretty!

Here are a few more rocker tees I have been eyeing:

Hope you all have a most fab day! I am just so thankful the sun is out and I can errand about without getting drenched!

FARFETCH ARTICLE

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday! Hope you are all having a fab week so far! Really quick post today just to share an article I was featured in as I am seriously giddy over it! I was contacted last month by Farfetch to take part in an this article that highlights some of their favorite bloggers and our winter must haves. I am in awe to even be have been thought of, much less included! I mean, me? Farfetch is a total and complete fashion destination. One of my go-to sites for must have items that are typically hard (if not impossible) to find anywhere else. When you need that insane piece to complete a look, they will no doubt have it. In my instagram post today (see my “shop my looks” to see it) I am wearing the most fabulous Saint Laurent bag that is the perfect example of items they sell that you do not see elsewhere. They have simple tees+ jeans too, but I find them to be next level because of the more unique pieces I can find. So the point of the story is,  I feel so honored and just totally excited to be included in this round up of fun bloggers.

Here is the look from the post and here is the link to the article.

Thanks for reading and sharing in my excitement! Wishing you all a very happy day!

SIMPLE ALWAYS WINS

Hi guys! Happy Friday! How is was your week? Mine flew by as I have been working on some looks for next week and trying to get my life organized. It’s rainy again here in SoCal and ugh, just ugh!! I have never had a super strong yearning for warmer days (as usually we get amazing weather in January here), but lately I am so dreaming of a tropical getaway!

Today is all about the most simple and easy look from one of our date nights last weekend. Of course I love an over the top and filled with personality outfit, but I also adore ones like this. I found this fab (and oh so feminine) top from Rebecca Minkoff online and knew it would be so fun to pair with denim for night out. It’s super flowy and romantic, which I love. The detailing is so fun, right?

For denim, I wanted to create some contrast, so I went with these super dark ones from Paige. They are a bit lower rise and have such fun distressing at the knees. I added on this studded belt from B-low the belt for an extra pop of fun. I am always all for a statement belt!

For shoes, I had to atleast give the look one super fancy piece (as otherwise it just wouldn’t be me), so these fabulous velvet jeweled Manolos were my pick. I am not going to lie, I am in love love with these! I got them in the end of November so they are sadly sold out now, but here they are in plain red satin, here is a velvet Christian Louboutin similar and here is a velvet Asos similar. These are a forever love, you know? Such a timeless style and just so pretty!

For my other accessories I went way simple with this Valentino crossbody (also cute in square) and these Jimmy Choo sunnies. There is just something about this simple combo that always works. If you are ever in one of those “what do I wear” moods, this is so your answer!

Here are a bunch of other fabulous and fun white blouses I am eyeing:

Wishing you all the most fab Friday and weekend! We have a double date tonight at North Italia (such yum pizza and salads) and then I am off to LA Saturday morning to meet my sister and attend an event at the Grove. It’s put on by Simply Stylist and we will be making mood boards…I am SO excited! Nothing like a little weekend inspo time!
