Hi guys! Happy Thursday! I hope you have all had a good week! Mine has been great and we are off to Santa Rosa (outside Napa) tomorrow for the wedding of one of our college besties! I say “our” because Brad was Colby’s friend first (they were roomies for a year and in the same fraternity), but he quickly became one of my most favorite humans too. We spent a Summer in Guadalajara together (our school, USD, does a Summer program there where you live with a family for 6 weeks and go to a sister school…it’s pretty cool and definitely an experience I am glad I had!) and he is just the best guy! He is one of those people who is not only super fun, but has an amazing heart too. So the point is, we are really excited to celebrate him and his soon to be hubby, Andy.
Today I am sharing this most fun one shouldered Yumi Kim dress and I will also share a bunch of fun wedding guest options at the end of the post. I LOVE weddings as I adore any excuse to dress up and celebrate love! I normally wouldn’t push anything black for a wedding (unless it’s black tie of course), but this Yumi Kim is an exception because of the pretty light floral print. Isn’t the mix of pink and blue pastels so fun? It makes it more light and feminine, which I love. I also like the ruffle detailing on the top as well as the bottom.
I love to keep with girly, flirty and fun for weddings. You want to be able to dance, so nothing too tight or restricting! And honestly I know this should be a given, but I know some still miss this, don’t wear anything white or light colored (just don’t!!) Save those dresses for all your Summer soirees and nights out. I searched around and these are some other super cute options that I am loving!
I hope you all have the best weekend! I am so excited for ours and will be sure to share lots on stories!
Hi guys! Happiest Monday! How was your weekend? Ours was fab, quite relaxing after a busy week! I have a fun filled week and weekend ahead, so I wanted to start the week with a blog post about this dreamy Summer maxi.
I have worn this Misa maxi four times since getting it (that’s alot for me!) as it’s comfy, fun and totally full of life (it comes in a skirt version too). I adore the fit (you can wear it halter style like I am or you can wear it strapless by tying the neck pieces in a simple bow. The waist is cinched, which we all know I love love. I added on my cognac Gucci belt for a bit of fun and because I love this color combo. Bright cherry red and cognac love always! The tiered bottom of this beauty is so feminine and I love that the hemline is a bit shorter. It’s a fabulous lightweight material too, making it perfect for any Summer soiree or vacay night out.
I kept my accessories pretty neutral since this dress has a life of it’s own. I did get feisty with these super fun oversized Chan Luu earrings. I love love these! I have them in a neutral option too and they are just way fab (and only $80!) I went with these red Schutz heels and then this Chloe bag to finish off the look. I love mixing in neutrals when I am wearing something loud!
Now we know I love a good mini dress, but I equally love a longer hemline as well. I think it’s so fresh to throw on a maxi with flats for a day of fun or with a sassy heel for a night out.
Here are some more that I am currently loving:
I hope you all have a great Monday! I am shooting some looks tomorrow, so I am busy busy with that. We are off to Napa later this week for a wedding (one of my most favorite friends from college!) and I cannot wait!!
Hi guys!! Happiest Friday! What a super quick week! We had the best time with Colby’s fam last week and I have had a really busy, but good week. I went up to LA for a fun night of painting and wine with some of the girls of Rewardstyle. I stayed the night (with Griff!) and had some meetings on Tuesday and also went to take pics at the new painted Liketoknow.it wall in Venice! I will post a pic on Instagram soon, but it’s so fun!
Today the Nordstrom sale opens to everyone, so last night I went to South Coast and shopped around. I am 100% an online shopper, but I thought it would be fun to really try some things on so I could pick out some faves that I know are fun. I ended up with three pairs of fave denim, a fun leather bomber, an essential cozy cardi and the most fun blush velvet flats. Below are pictures from my try on and I also did some live videos on my insta stories so be sure to watch if you want to see these pieces in “real life”. I just updated the post below this one with more of my finds that I saw today (including some really cute bedding, Voluspa candles and some fun artwork), so keep scrolling down to see those.
Hi guys! Happy Friday!! Early access for the Nordy’s anniversary sale (this is the one where they sell super fab new Fall/Winter pieces at a great discount and after the prices go back to normal) started yesterday (regular access starts July 20) so I went through and shopped everything and picked out my most faves for you guys! I am so not a sale shopper, but since this one is really just new pieces temporarily marked down, I am so into it! I was so excited to see so many fab pairs of jeans and even my blow dryer!! Honestly if you have never tried this T3 (linked below) it’s seriously a life changer and a total must have! Plus, hanky panky undies on sale? Always a yes! Hope you have as much fun shopping all of these as I did!
Happy Friday and weekend! Hope you all have a really fab one!!
Hi guys! Happy Monday! I am starting the week feeling so motivated as yesterday we spent all day getting ready for Colby’s family to come visit for the week. I cleaned out my closet, organized my jewelry drawers, cleaned up my styling room, we gave Griff a haircut, Colby painted…it was so productive (hilarious that his family coming into town is what it takes to get us to do things we should just always do!!) that now I am just so alive!
Today I wanted to share 12 of my current favorite pairs of jeans for Summer. I am loving all things high waisted lately (as you can kinda tell from most of these picks). I am also all about some good distressing! You can hover over these to see price info (I included a wide range of prices since I know not everyone wants to spend $200 on denim (although you know if you follow me that I the only reason I encourage to do so is because I do think higher quality denim lasts longer, fits better and tends to look better too! Plus if you invest, most pairs will last you years! That being said, some of these Levi’s below are my most faves and under $100))
Feel free to message me if you have any specific questions on brands and sizing! Hope you all have a fab start to your week!
