DARK FLORAL ONE SHOULDERED DRESS (AND WHAT TO WEAR TO ALL THE SUMMER WEDDINGS)

Hi guys! Happy Thursday! I hope you have all had a good week! Mine has been great and we are off to Santa Rosa (outside Napa) tomorrow for the wedding of one of our college besties! I say “our” because Brad was Colby’s friend first (they were roomies for a year and in the same fraternity), but he quickly became one of my most favorite humans too. We spent a Summer in Guadalajara together (our school, USD, does a Summer program there where you live with a family for 6 weeks and go to a sister school…it’s pretty cool and definitely an experience I am glad I had!) and he is just the best guy! He is one of those people who is not only super fun, but has an amazing heart too. So the point is, we are really excited to celebrate him and his soon to be hubby, Andy.

Today I am sharing this most fun one shouldered Yumi Kim dress and I will also share a bunch of fun wedding guest options at the end of the post. I LOVE weddings as I adore any excuse to dress up and celebrate love! I normally wouldn’t push anything black for a wedding (unless it’s black tie of course), but this Yumi Kim is an exception because of the pretty light floral print. Isn’t the mix of pink and blue pastels so fun? It makes it more light and feminine, which I love. I also like the ruffle detailing on the top as well as the bottom.

Just to spice it up a bit, I paired it with this super fun studded Saint Laurent belt. Totally into anything studded lately (well always actually!), so I of course love love this fun statement piece (here is a similar option). Because I was styling this with Summer weddings in mind, I went super girly and fun with my shoes and did these velvet pink lovelies from Loeffler Randall. Guys, I LIVE in these. I have them in silver too and cannot explain how easy and comfy they are! This pink velvet is just dreamy (here is another cute similar option too). To finish off the look, I kept it simple with this light pink Valentino crossbody, these Miu Miu sunnies and these fun silver ball earrings from 8 Other Reasons.

I love to keep with girly, flirty and fun for weddings. You want to be able to dance, so nothing too tight or restricting! And honestly I know this should be a given, but I know some still miss this, don’t wear anything white or light colored (just don’t!!)  Save those dresses for all your Summer soirees and nights out. I searched around and these are some other super cute options that I am loving!

I hope you all have the best weekend! I am so excited for ours and will be sure to share lots on stories!

Happy shopping! xo, Caro
