SHOPBOP’S SPEND MORE, SAVE MORE SALE PICKS

Hiiii guys! What fun to wake up on Tuesday to news that Shopbop.com is running their always fab “spend more, save more” sale? I basically live on their site, so for me it’s like Christmas! SO many great finds and the best part is that you can buy things that you can wear now and going into Spring + Summer (vs normal sales that are markdowns from previous seasons). Many items I have worn in my looks on Instagram over the past few months are included, so I linked those and all the other pieces I am eyeing below:

Hope you all have great day today!
Happy shopping!

STATEMENT SLEEVES, THE POINTED TOE & LOGO BAGS WITH NEIMAN MARCUS FASHION ISLAND

Hi guys! It’s FRIDAY!! Woohoo!! This week was a quickie since Monday was a holiday, but it’s still always exciting when Friday rolls along! I couldn’t be happier because my hubby Colby was traveling all week for work and is on his way home right now. I always stay busy and plan lots of activities while he is gone, but I still miss him (and being a single mom to Griff (our 14 year old dog) is no joke! He has to be let out 3 times a night (old man problems) and Colby usually does it (he is a saint!) so basically I feel like I haven’t slept all week)!

Anyways, today is all about some more Spring Trends with my favorite place to shop here in Orange County, Neiman Marcus Fashion Island. The first trend, the “statement sleeve” is one we saw last year and I am so glad to see it’s back again. The sleeves on this starry print dress from Frame that I am wearing are the epitome of statement and fun! Plus, I never tire of anything adorned in stars! It’s currently 40% off too, so go get it! If you live somewhere cold, it would be adorable with an over the knee boot.

Keeping with Neiman’s trend list, I paired it with these super duper dreamy Aquazzura heels. Do you die or do you die? These are amazing! Since “the pointed toe” is one of their big Spring trends, I knew these beauties were the perfect way to kick this outfit up a bit. And no look is complete without a fabulous bag and Neiman’s is forecasting “logo bags” as the it choice of the season. This bright white (and so Springy) one from Saint Laurent called my name with this oversized silver logo and matching silver chain strap. I am OBSESSED with this bag! I love the size, the shape and just the look of it. It comes in a few colors, but I am all about this fresh white for Spring and Summer. How fun?!

Christine (@dailykongfidence on Instagram) joined me again for some shopping around Fashion Island and was so cute in her adorable Alice + Olivia top and pants (also both from Neiman’s Fashion Island). Isn’t she the cutest? I have met so many bloggers here in OC and she is truly a fashionista and also so sweet and genuine (plus she has 3 kids..talk about mom goals!) Plus, we both agree that Neiman’s Fashion Island is the best place to lunch and shop!

I hope you all have a fun and happy weekend! It’s been a bit chilly here in SoCal and I am hoping for a warm up (and hoping to catch up on some sleep!)

Happy shopping friends!

ALL ABOUT MY FAVE SWINGY (AND SO SPRING READY) TOPSHOP SKIRT AND EASY KNIT

Hi guys! Happy Thursday! What a quick week, right? I loved having a holiday mid-week yesterday as it was so fun to go out and have a little wine last night! I hope you all had a great Valentine’s day!

Today is all about my obsession with Topshop! If you have followed me for a while you know I am all about mixing high and low priced pieces. I actually never really look at brands when I am shopping, I just pick up things/click on things that I like and go from there. With that, I do have my go-to spots that I like to shop and Nordstrom is one of them. I love that I can find everything (literally everything!) I need in one store. My local Nordstrom, South Coast Plaza, is the mecca! They just redid it and it’s honestly amazing. It’s just nice to be able to go in a store and get every aspect of your look in one stop (instead of having to run around the whole mall).

One of the best parts of Nordstrom is that they have a whole department of Topshop! I know I can always find on trend pieces that will not break the bank. I am a big fan of their well priced denim, cute of the moment tops and fab dresses + skirts. I found this particular Topshop flirty skirt and fell in love with the wrap style and cute print. The best part is that it is $55, but looks and feels more expensive. For this look I paired it with this great Free People black knit as we are still transitioning into Spring. I adore this sweater! I have it in the white version too because it’s pretty lightweight and goes perfectly with so much (I have styled it with both skirts and denim). To keep this look fun, I added on these black heels, these simple silver hoops, these must have YSL sunnies and this Valentino crossbody bag.

This skirt will be so fun to throw on all Spring and Summer! You could throw on a simple black tank and flip flops for a super casual look or you could sass it up with a lace adorned cami and some stiletto heels. Here are a bunch of other Topshop pieces I am currently eyeing for Spring:

I hope you all have a fab day today! I am working on some looks to shoot tomorrow and then will be so ready for the weekend.

Happy shopping! xo, Caro

SPRING TRENDS WITH NEIMAN MARCUS FASHION ISLAND

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday! How is it already mid-February? Time is flying, per usual, and all I can think about lately is SPRING. I am not a Winter fashion girl (hence the lack of blog posts the past couple of months!!), but I am 100% a Spring and Summer girl. I love easy dresses, fun sandals and of course all the colors.

I had the opportunity to partner up with Neiman Marcus Fashion Island and one of my most favorite friends (she is also an OC blogger), Christine, to shoot some super fab looks that encompass all things Spring trends. Right now Neiman’s is running their Must Haves promotion where you can get a gift card up to $1,500 (spend more, get more with the code BESTFEB). I am going to do a couple of posts covering their take on the season’s best trends, but today is all about these two looks.

Three of the nine trends they are forecasting for Spring we are wearing: Brights, Stripes and The Pointed Toe.

For brights, we both have that covered with our fun red accessories. My Mansur Gavriel fabulous round bag is the perfect pop of fun for any look. I am obsessed with this retro shape and cute top handle! And Christine’s red Alice and Olivia sunnies are just way too cute, right? I am loving that colored sunglasses are so on trend right now!

For Stripes, Christine’s cool track pants take that on with the fab red paneling detail. I am usually just a simple jeans girl when it comes to bottoms, but I have to admit, I love love these! So unexpected and just so fun. Plus, you could totally make these work friendly with a simple button down.

For The Pointed Toe, my cool distressed denim Tom Ford heels are exactly that. These pumps are killer! I am always a fan of a more pointy toe, as I just think it’s carries an element of chic, and this season it’s all about the super pointy toe. I will link some other fun options below.

Springtime and warmer temps will be here so soon and I could not be more excited. All the colors, the florals, the flowy materials, the whimsical dresses….I just love it all! When I am on the hunt to find the best options and inventory, I always always stop in Neiman Marcus Fashion Island. Their selection is always so different than what you find at most mainstream department stores and their are always so kind and helpful! I actually have made friends with one of the girls in the shoe department and I can just text her what I am looking for and she sends it directly to my house if I do not have time to go by. That kind of customer service is what makes their location the best. Plus Mariposa, their in store restaurant on the third floor, is one of my lunch time go-to’s. Colby and I both die over their popovers (that they served with warm strawberry butter…if you haven’t tried it you are SO missing out). I will be sharing more from Neiman’s in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned!

Here are all the elements of our looks as well as some other similar pieces from Neiman Marcus that I am loving:
