This Shakuhachi romper. I just can’t even explain how much I adore it! To start, I love that it’s denim. I also love the oversized ruffled neckline. It’s just screams fun, right?

Sans belt this look was just ok, but with this fun B-Low the Belt creation it became fab. I have a new obsession with pairing denim + black, which is super funny because I used to hate this combo! I think the contrast in tones is just super edgy and chic.

I also have a thing with the tallest wedges ever lately, hence these that I am wearing from Saint Laurent. They are actually super comfy and easy to walk in! I love the contrast between the suede top and the woven neutral heel.

Now onto my clutch. Well, let’s be honest, it’s my moms! But I had to borrow it for this outfit, I mean it was just too perfect. I am thoroughly in love love with Valentino’s entire Byzantine Empire inspired Spring ’16 line. The turquoise studs mixed with the rich black leather make this bag everything and more. Truly a piece that my mom will be able to use forever (and then hand down to me!)

When I threw on this Natalie B turquoise cuff, I thought it might be too much with the clutch, but instead it was perfection. I am having SUCH a silver jewelry moment by the way. My sister is probably laughing reading this (I was stalking out some random rings at Miraval in Tuscon with her a couple of weeks ago), but really I want any + all things silver, oversized, navajo inspired.

My go-to Karen Walkers finished off this look. I am so excited for all the fun ways denim is being created for Spring and Summer. From rompers like this one, to fun high waisted skirts to easy little dresses, it’s definitely one of my favorite trends.

or loveI love styling my husband almost as much as I love dressing myself. In general I find dresses others easier, as visually it’s so much more clear. That is why with this blog and my newfound determination, I hope to style more in the future.

Back to this denim edit. A typical date night at our house begins with me deciding what I am going to wear, followed quickly by my husband shouting down the hall (his closet is in the guest room, obviously I use the whole closet in the master!) asking what he is wearing. He doesn’t even kind of try, which I actually adore. The dork in me definitely tends to coordinate our ensembles, as you can see in this post.

Let’s start with my look. I am soo loving the bodysuit trend! I know, it’s a tough one to go for, but if you are bold enough, I highly suggest taking the plunge. This one is only $50 from Tiger Mist. I am also 100% (as I previously mentioned in my jean short post) into the high waistedness that is everywhere. I know it can totally be a “mom jean” look, but I think it’s seriously so much more flattering than the super low waisted (aka let your gut and butt crack hang out) look. These, by Citizens of Humanity, caught my eye because they are skinny skinny and distressed to perfection.

I went with a Proenza Schouler white clutch to match my husbands super white Adidas shoes. And then with my black essential Manolo Blahnik pumps. Had these lovers for years and can honestly say they are comfy times ten.

So this is my husband, Colby. We met on the first (literally!) day of college at University of San Diego (thanks to my adorable roommate who was his high school prom date! Hi, Gretchen!). We were friends for awhile, which I honestly think is the key to any good relationship as you get to know each other. By the end of our freshman year we gave in and were a thing and the rest is history. He is my everything. He mellows out my overthinking and keeps my sassiness in line!

For his look, I went with the open sweater look, which I adore. This one is by Rag & Bone and is fab because it’s pretty fitted (I can’t stand when open sweaters are oversized and baggy). Underneath I went with a simple white V neck (by RVCA). Right now I am loving the super skinny jeans that are so trend for guys. I know it can a tough look to pull off for some, but a more fitted jean in general is always more flattering (than baggy Dad jeans…no and no). These are by AG and I love that they are such a fab grey tone. For shoes, it’s all about these Adidas Superstars. The brightest white and just so crisp. Love love.

So now you guys know my husband! (The picture above pretty much sums up my feelings) He is seriously the the nicest guy who always just wants to have fun. You will see more of him for sure!

IMG_4182(Let me preface this post by saying I am sadly totally battling the flu, so if this isn’t my best post and/or grammatically correct, my apologies)

I love, love a dark floral. Something about it is so Spanish and romantic, right? I also (obviously) love love an off the shoulder (anything), so I was all about this fab Alice & Olivia creation when I saw it at Saks in South Coast Plaza.

The frilly detailing along the top and the sheer lace along the hemline give this dress such personality. It came with a self tie belt, but I am all about changing out to your own. This B Low the Belt creation is my life lately. With my favorite high waisted jeans for date night and over billowy tops…it just spices up any look. I knew it would give this otherwise super feminine dress an Western edge (which I love).

To make this look even more fun, I went with my yellow Balenciaga (color no longer available, but here is the exact size/style). How fab is this color? I have used this little gem nonstop since getting it years ago. A fab size with the must have crossbody strap.

My sunnies, the usual Illesteva’s, were the perfect last touch to this look. Just that last little tinge of fun. I look forward to wearing this loveliness over + over again!

IMG_4041Eyelet detailing is another forever trend that is always chic and so easy to wear. It is the epitome of all things warm, right? I feel like you usually see eyelet in bright whites, so when I found this insane Zimmerman dress in cool blue, I had to have it.

I adore the high neck and elaborate detailing of this fab creation. The cutouts and midi length make it uber chic and so on trend. I feel like I will be able to wear this dress for seasons to come, which I love.

To ease the sweetness of the look, I went with my lace up Aquazzara heels to add a bit of edge. I totally die over the cognac color, the grommet detailing and the tassles. The chunky heel makes these beyond comfy! So obsessed.

I adore mixing colortones, so I for my bag I went with my cobalt blue Balenciaga clutch (this style no longer available, but similar here. I love love this oldie but goodie. It’s oversized making it an easy day to night piece. Best part is that I got it on a couple of years ago for half the original price! (If you don’t shop on that site, you should! So many good deals) I also grabbed my Natalie B double V ring (obsessed, can you tell?)

Because this look is so girly, I grabbed my most feminine sunnies, my tortoise Super Duper Karen Walkers. They literally take up half of my face, which I am totally fine with! I also went with my fave House of Harlow cuff (I know I wear it all the time, but c’mon it’s too fab not to).

Now that the temps are rising and Spring is just around the corner, it’s so time to break out all your easy, breezy and girly dresses. Here are some more of my favorite eyelet pieces:

IMG_3970Let me start with, I am always and forever about any kind of fun embellishment on clothing. I love that it’s basically built in jewelry for your outfit. This Raga skirt is all of that with the mix of beading and studs. For this particular look, I paired it with a night out appropriate top from Stone Cold Fox, but I will so be wearing it all Spring + Summer long with a simple tee and flops or a chambray and a fun ankle wrap sandal.

Again with the lace up top because I just couldn’t say no to this bell-sleeved beauty. Sometimes a black top can be blah, but I love that this one has so much personality. The mix of super boho sleeves and the trendy lace up, makes it a totally fab piece to add to your closet. It would be so cute tucked into any of the fun high waisted jeans that are everywhere.

maje shoes

Now let’s discuss these shoes because I am totally in love love. I found them at Maje at South Coast Plaza and have been wearing them nonstop since. I love that the clog wooden heel is so in right now as it’s totally comfy and a total leg lengthener.

I went with my Stella McCartney go-to clutch as the chain embellishment coordinated perfectly with the studs on the skirt. For sunnies, I grabbed my “Super Duper” Karen Walkers , an all time fave because they are so oversized. I can’t wait to wear this skirt over and over again! I love finding pieces like this that are easy to throw on and that can be worn in a variety of ways.
